Sixteen floors up sat in my hotel room watching the Batu Ferrighi Night Market traders preparing for another night of trading, I thought it was high time that we, that is my wife Karen and I, set up a travel blog.
We just love to travel, doing so at every available school holiday that we possibly can. Karen is a primary school teacher, hence the school holiday reference.
We tend to avoid ‘package holidays‘ where ever possible, preferring to track down our own travel bargains and seek out those lesser known, quirkier, places to stay.
So, we will be posting blogs of places that we have visited, places we hope to be visiting in the future and trying to give any reader our personal impressions and thoughts, and we’ll also pass on any hints or tips that we’ve found useful too.

Thanks Lorna. It’s something that Karen and I have been talking about doing for ages now and while I was away on business with some time on my hands I started it off.

Similar to my way of doing things Nerissa. FlickR is brilliant for photos, but like you say, there’s not a lot of room for comments.
