This hotel was not conveniently close to a railway/metro station so taxi was the best way to get there whilst costing only KWN4700.
Arriving very early due to the train timings and an efficient taxi ride from the station, we asked if they could store our cases while we set off to explore; they instead allowed us to check in. The hotel was ultra-modern with low lit public areas and lobby. Our room was nicely laid out with a fancy walk-in shower, bath and a glass cubical toilet. With fancy lighting controls, accessed from switches on the wall or via the TV remote control, everything seemed to be very hi-tech. Sadly though, the air-conditioning didn’t work and our room was way too warn to sleep comfortably. The front desk informed us that the air conditioning didn’t work throughout the entire hotel so the best option was to open the window. This seemed pretty straightforward although the window was tiny and covered by a blind that couldn’t be raised. The other problem was that the blind had to be left open all night to allow the cool air in but this meant the light came in as soon as the sun rose.
The bed was incredibly comfortable with high quality linen and made for the perfect nights sleep. The room was filled with little touches that made it feel luxurious such as bathrobes, high quality toiletries, complimentary bottled water, soft drinks and even sheet masks.
No breakfast was included but there were plenty of shops nearby so this was not a problem and enabled us to have a slow start to our day with pastries purchased locally.
Check-out was efficient and reception quickly arranged a taxi for our return to the station; waiting outside with us to give directions to the driver and bid us farewell.
We had a wonderful stay here and wished we’d had more time to enjoy the calm of this hotel.
