Where is Taranto?
To assist one of our customers with a system upgrade that they had been unable to install themselves, I was sent down to Taranto in Southern Italy to help them. This was almost a day trip. Flying from Heathrow to Milan then on to Bari followed by a drive south in a rental FIAT 500. Relying on the rented SatNav it worked superbly and got me safely and swiftly down to the Hotel Europa without a single hitch. The off of our customer was just two roads away from the hotel and within three hours of arriving in Taranto the job was completed leaving me with the whole evening to myself in sunny Taranto. Really fancying a pizza, I walked the streets sniffing out a restaurant, sadly I couldn’t find one, so a Pizza and beer was enjoyed in the hotel restaurant and I then made the most of my brief stay in Taranto by walking around town taking in the sights and the glorious sunset. Wonderful.
