Ecuador – Overnight in Lima

With me already being in Peru with work, Mrs Y flew in from the UK aboard BA2239 from London Gatwick and with our early’ish flight out the following day, we decided to stay locally to Lima airport. Having worked in Lima for over a year I know from experience that the drive from the Miraflores area to/from the airport can be troublesome with heavy traffic causing delays, especially Friday afternoons.

Mrs Y did some research, somthing she loves to do, and found us a lovely B&B just 10 minutes from the airport.

The B&B de Kike is tucked away in a residential area close to the airport and is run by a husband and wife team, Miriam and Kike.

Kike picks you up at Jorge Chavez airport, easily spotting him holding a card bearing your name before whisking you off to the peace and quiet of their delightful B&B. This is all included in the price! Great service.

Pulling up outside, Miriam welcomed us like long lost friends and makes us feel very welcome indeed.

After discussing our breakfast options with Miriam and deciding on a time to return to the airport, we settled down in our cozy room for a great nights sleep.

Everything was clean, the bathroom was a good size and everything worked as expected.

Breakfast was a delight too, eggs done just how you like them, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, more than ample for a return to the airport and our early flight.

Miriam was delightful too, chatting with us over breakfast before waving us off to the airport.
