Our only hope for this hotel was a clean comfy bed but after reading online reviews it seemed our biggest problem was going to be finding it! We shouldn’t have worried, it was right on the seafront road and clearly signposted at the lifts. Reception was up on the 7th floor but easy to find as it was directly in front of the lifts. The lifts opened out into the lobby and possibly the most spectacular view of the gorgeous Haeundae Beach through floor to ceiling windows. Check-in was efficient and painless; within minutes we were in our room admiring the same view as reception. The room was spacious with a small table and seating in front of the window to enjoy the view; the sleeping area was set to one side and had an incredibly comfortable bed with complimentary bathrobes. The bathroom was modern with a large rain shower as well as complimentary toiletries and assorted beauty accessories. The front desk staff were incredibly cheerful and helpful, giving us a local map as soon as we arrived and acknowledging us with a cheery wave and a “hello” each time we passed through. Complimentary tea and coffee was available at all times as well as filtered water that was great for filling water bottles. Breakfast was available in reception each morning (8-10am) and could either be eaten in reception or taken back to the room on a tray – it consisted of fruit, juice, yoghurt, toast, butter, jam, eggs, tea and coffee.
It is almost impossible to find anything negative about this hotel; the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and had everything that is needed for a good stay. The only minor problem was the room temperature mainly due to the position of the hotel and the lovely windows. Theses two positives made keeping the temperature cool enough very challenging. The windows made the room hot as they amplified the sun which could be addressed easily during the day by opening the windows. However, at night the busy road below made it impossible to sleep due to the road noise. There was air conditioning in the room which again was great in the day as it was positioned over the window but at night it didn’t cool the sleeping area.
Despite this tiny niggle we had the best experience of our entire holiday in this hotel and not only did we not want to leave, but couldn’t settle in our next hotel because it didn’t match up to the MS.
PROS: Stunning sea views. Comfy bed. Helpful, friendly and happy staff. Good breakfast and option to take it back to your room.
CONS: Room temperature due to air-con.
