Hotel ParragaSiete – Granada

Finding a modern hotel in an ancient city proved a little difficult but the relatively new ParragaSiete turned out to be just perfect. Just a short walk from the Airport Bus drop-off, the hotel was not easily recognisable as a hotel. Check-in was through a door adjacant to the restaurant, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming, encouraging us to order our breakfast choices for the whole of our stay so that we could simply enjoy the city. Breakfast was delivered each morning directly to our room in a basket, which proved to be perfect, as well as a touch romantic! On our first night a beautiful glass bottle of water was left outside our door with further plastic bottles left each of the remaining days. The room was furnished minimally but with with plenty of space. Both the bedroom and bathroom had French windows that flooded the rooms with natural light. Despite looking out over a pedestrianised area, the room was quiet even with the windows open.

PROS: Spotlessly clean. Helpful staff. Large rooms with loads of natural light. Personalised and plentiful breakfast delivered at your chosen time. Good central location (not in historic area). Bottled water every day.

CONS: No availability of irons. Quite a walk to Alhambra. Check-in desk not always manned (not a problem for us).
