Our trip to Ecuador happened mostly by chance. Neither myself or Mrs Y knew very much about the country at all and it certainly wasn’t on either of our Bucket-Lists.
But with me working in Lima, it made perfect sense for Mrs Y to fly out to me as it would save 50% of any airfares that we would need to pay to get anywhere else. Having eliminated other South American countries and writing off doing tourist hotspots like Macchu Picchu, we plumped for Ecuador.
Mrs Y set to work on Google and researching various websites and travel books came up with a list of places to visit and eventually after much discussion we ended up with an agenda and subsequently a whole holiday.
Another adventure had materialsed.
