With a mid-morning flight we had to miss out on our B&B breakfast, vowing to eat at the airport, and dashed out early to catch the tube to the airport. Switching tube lines we chose to ride the record breaking MagLev train for the final link to the airport. Sadly we missed the super fast ‘flight’ which only runs at certain times of the day, but still touched 300 km/hr on route.
Airports are the same the world over and Shanghai is no different and after checking in and dropping off our bags, we picked up a couple of alcoholic bargains in the duty free shop before finding a decently priced breakfast upstairs in the departure lounge.
