This large hotel was an unusual choice for us but as our stay was short its location was the primary reason fr choosing it. Situated just metres from Peace Park it was perfect. Arriving early, we expected to leave our luggage and hit the streets but the helpful desk clerk suggested that, as we had a club room, we spend some time in the lounge and they would prepare our room. The lounge was quiet and had a view over Hiroshima as well as plentiful complimentary refreshments. Our room was made ready early and the concierge gave us our key. The room itself was huge and clean but like all chain hotels it could have been a room anywhere in the world. There was nothing to fault – huge bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, beautiful linen and the expected view that comes with being on the 20th floor. Breakfast was served in the Club Lounge well stocked with a variety of Western and Japanese food. The service was understated but perfect and the peace in the lounge was a great way to calmly start the day.
